Abstract: Knowledge management concept has a significant role in development of virtual organizations. By implementing this concept, virtual organizations and all its members evolve in a form known as learning organizations. In this form, virtual organizations have capability of development based on organizational learning and by doing so, they achieve stabile competitive position in the frequently changing global market. This paper depicts the structure of knowledge in virtual organizations, the learning process within them and knowledge management process in all stages of virtual organizations' lifecycle.
